Ideally located along the famous Great Ocean Road in Victoria Australia, this purpose built wheelchair accessible accommodation is just 6 kilometres from Apollo Bay and surrounded by scenic attractions such as the breathtaking Twelve Apostles and Otway National Park rainforest.
Designed and owned by an occupational therapist the cottage style accommodation has every convenience. It has been built to the Australian wheelchair access standards with the assistance of wheelchair users. There are also lots of accessible attractions and entertainment close by that are ideal for wheelchairs, including a beach wheelchair at Apollo Bay.

With views from the living room, kitchen and master bedroom over the ocean and beach towards Apollo Bay, this modern two bedroom accommodation sleeps up to six guests. The atmosphere is quiet, with a bushy feel and an occasional koala on premises.
The owners live on-site (just behind the holiday cabin) and are also available to assist with questions or help if needed. They offer a respite care service in the evenings or on weekends for an affordable negotiated fee. Holiday packages including in-house massage can be arranged.

The master bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed that is a good height for wheelchair transfers with views to the ocean from bed.
The second bedroom has bunk beds and there is a pull out sofa in living room.

Great Ocean Road attractions that are wheelchair friendly

The owners are locals and happy to make suggestions of activities, entertainment and attractions to enjoy that are wheelchair friendly or easy mobility.
Some places to consider if you want to plan ahead:
- Beautiful drives through the Otways, surrounded by temperate rain forest and the Otway National Park
- Wheelchair accessible trails, including the Beechy Rail Trail only 45 minutes away and in the rain forest (ask owners for details of other trails in the area that are ideal for wheelchairs)
- Swimming is possible at Apollo Bay and there is a Beach wheelchair available for hire
- Koala viewing only 12 km away
- Famous Otway Fly is only 45 minutes drive and is wheelchair accessible
- Local seal colony
- Apollo Bay has a local market every Saturday morning
- Apollo Bay has numerous fine restaurants and a couple of pubs with live
- Entertainment on Saturday nights - both pubs have wheelchair access
- 4-day Music Festival in April of each year (quite a large event)
The accomodation is also close to the beach itself (approximately 100 metres) with views from the accommodation and only 6 kilometres from Apollo Bay.
Other activities include kyaking, hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, parasailing, guided tours and several sporting events such as the Sporting Festival in February each year and Marathon from Lorne to Apollo Bay in May every year.

The wheelchair accessible cabin, called Fisheye 9, is located in Skenes Creek Victoria, on the Great Ocean Road and close to Apollo Bay. It is 185 kilometres from Melbourne and only 110 kilometres from Geelong.
