Carer's Summit
During the month of August, there will be an online Carer's Summit, to find a 'big new idea' for carer and family issues, along the lines of the Rudd Government's 2020 Summit in April.
To participate in this event visit the Carers Virtual 2020 website and you'll see that comments are invited on each section in the program. Discussion streams include:
- Recognition and Respect
- Health and Wellbeing
- Financial Security
- Carers in the Workforce
- Models of Care
- Assessing Impact
There are several posts already under Models of Care and Senator Helen Coonan has a very good introduction on 'consumer-directed care' in her welcome.
This is a good opportunity to get some national debate going and carers are encouraged to contribute and have their say.
