Cultural Action Plan for people with disability
Accessible Arts has undertaken a series of Speak Up consultation sessions in local communities around metropolitan NSW as part of the process to develop a Cultural Action Plan for people with disability in NSW.
Summaries of the Speak Up consultation transcripts are now available on the Accessible Arts website so that those who couldn't attend a session can read discussions and provide feedback in response to results. They include:
- Issues in the Arts for People with a Disability
- Intellectual Disabilities and the Arts
- Issues in the Arts for People who are Deaf
Within each document the geographical needs and solutions have been addressed according to key topic areas for ease of access to relevant points:
- Access, Audiences, Technology and Ticketing
- Arts
- Disability
- Information and Communication
- Professional Development, Training, Education and Employment
- Funding and Policy
- Implementation
The Cultural Action Plan aims to review and develop arts and cultural opportunities for people with a disability in NSW.
